Alignment is comfortable waiting.
That difference matters.
Most people have experienced this pattern, even outside of work:

Alignment creates a quiet willingness to return.
Not because it’s thrilling—
but because it makes sense.
Another way to tell them apart is how they interact with your attention.
Excitement pulls focus toward outcomes.

That’s not indifference.
